Human & Artificial Intelligence Panel

I was invited to speak on the Human & Artificial Intelligence Panel at ROCCO Genesis 2026, a two-day telecoms innovation event that brings mobile network operators, industry leaders and disruptors together in Limerick. I joined the panel as a student contributor alongside seasoned industry professionals, sharing a perspective on where human judgement and artificial intelligence meet — and where the balance between them should sit. Holding my own in that room, as the student voice among established experts, is the appearance I'm proudest of so far.

As Chairperson of the Cyber Security Society at Munster Technological University, I lead our meetings and events, set the direction for the year, and speak in front of the group week to week. I've hosted tutorials introducing members to Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions and designed and run our own mini-CTFs from scratch. It's a different kind of public speaking to a conference stage — teaching, running a room, and making technical material land for a mixed-experience audience — and it's sharpened both my communication and my leadership.

Young Women Leaders Panel — “The Impact of AI on Everyday Life”

I was selected to speak on the Young Women Leaders Panel at the Eisenhower Fellowships Ireland Conference, part of the global leadership network founded in the name of Dwight D. Eisenhower. The panel, moderated by AI engineer Dr Amelia Kelly, explored the impact of AI on everyday life. It was my first move from competitive debating into being invited to contribute to a serious public conversation, and it began the thread on AI and its role in our lives that I've continued to speak on since.

Representing Bulgaria

I returned to the National Model Council of the European Union — the annual all-Ireland simulation of the Council of the EU run by the European Commission Representation in Ireland, in which teams debate live as EU member states. This year I represented Bulgaria in the debate on reforming the EU for future enlargement, adapting to an entirely new national brief and set of interests from the year before. Competing two years running, for two different countries, taught me to research a position quickly, argue it convincingly, and think on my feet under pressure.

Representing Slovakia

I represented Slovakia in the debate on the EU's renewable energy transition at the National Model Council of the European Union, placing second nationally — an achievement I still hold onto (the iPad I won isn't a bad memento either). Stepping up from Model UN to a formal simulation of the Council of the EU meant researching a national position in real depth and defending it live against every other member state. It was my first taste of competitive debating, and finishing second confirmed it was something I wanted to keep doing.

Representing France (regional)

My public speaking started at a regional Model United Nations while I was in secondary school, where I represented France. Model UN was where I learned the foundations that everything since has been built on: researching a country's stance, arguing a position that isn't your own, and speaking with composure under formal debate rules. It gave me the first real taste of thinking on my feet in front of a room — and the appetite to take it further.
